About the Guadalajara Airport (GDL), Mexico

  • The Guadalajara International Airport (GDL), also known as Guadalajara Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Airport, is located just under 10 miles (about 35 minutes by car) from the heart of the city. Opened in 1951, the GDL is one of the biggest airports in Mexico and the third in number of flights. Aeroméxico, Volaris, Interjet, VivaAerobus, United Airlines and Copa Airlines all offer flights to and from GDL.

    The GDL Airports has two terminals and an extra one that connects the airport to terrestrial modes of transportations. In the first two you’ll find stores and restaurants to enjoy yourself until your flight, banking services, tourist information, and VIP lounges.
